For several years, analysts have been highlighting Budapest as one of the most attractive Central European cities and regions of all in which to invest in quality property. 2013 and 2014 were both rather unkind to the region in terms of overall property values, with slumps of over 8 per cent creeping into the equation, but what was once labelled a property price meltdown actually worked out pretty well for bargain hunters. Investors, too, benefit from rents remaining comparatively high and average yields consistently topping the 6 per cent to 7 per cent mark. For buying low and letting reasonably high, the prospects presented by the Budapest region are not to be overlooked.
