Overseas investors may not think of the Basque Country at first when looking for Spanish property. The autonomous community, located in the north of Spain, is most well-known for the city of Bilbao. The area’s distinct landscape ranges from mountains to valleys, giving residents very warm summers and dry winters and earning the nickname Green Spain. Combined with the famous Basque food and San Sebastian’s beautiful beach, the Basque Country may not be top of your house-hunting list but it should certainly be a lot higher than it is.
