Description of Merseyside
London may be famed for the highest rents and most eye-watering property prices in the UK, but when it comes to those all-important rent yields, Merseyside towers over the capital. Back in 2013, Merseyside was the UK's number one in terms of high rent yields having hit a record-high of 8.3 per cent on average and putting much of the country to shame. Things have cooled a little in the interim years, but not so much as to take the sparkle away for this genuine jewel of England's North West.
Property prices to monthly rent averages in Merseyside are disproportionate to say the least, though favour the buy-to-let investor in a very big way. House prices have risen and are expected to continue doing so, but the opportunities for winning investments are still there to be found.
