Description of Cayman Islands
The Cayman Islands are seen as something of a mecca for international property buyers due to the zero restrictions on foreign ownership and extremely low rates of tax. Buying is easy, the only real additional closing cost is stamp duty and properties in key areas like West Bay, George Town and Seven Mile Beach have been steadily growing in value for years. Tourism is a rather high-end and exclusive affair in the Cayman Islands which keeps short-term rents particularly high, though at the same time it’s also a destination of choice for wealthy retirees and the second homes of the super-rich.
Suffice it to say investing in the Cayman Islands isn’t cheap by any means, but returns have the potential to be more than a little handsome.
