Description of Gard
Located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, the southern department of Gard takes its name from the River Gardon, which runs through it. Water is a big part of the area’s appeal: it is home to Vergeze, the source of Perrier mineral water, and the Ceze, a French river that flows from the Cevennese mountains. Combined with the Roman architecture located in cities such as Nimes, its coastal location and pretty surroundings make it a refreshing place to stay.
