An incredibly seductive region where cosmopolitan city streets give way to quaint historic villages and ultimately the majestic peaks of the Alps, there's something to be found in Rhône-Alpes for everyone and that, of course, includes the savvy investor. France's overall economic picture hasn't always been one of huge joy and optimism, although certain areas in demand for tourist communities all year round have tended to escape the brunt of the downturn. Rhône-Alpes is a perfect illustration, where it's more than possible to turn over healthy rent yields on key properties in popular areas, just as lucrative re-sale opportunities exist where inventory is low and interest from buyers is high.
