It’s largely the perfect recipe for successful property investment – stunning natural beauty, a booming tourism industry, consistently high property values and through-the-roof rents. However, French Polynesia rarely features at the top of most developers’ lists as despite all of the above, buying into the region isn’t what you’d call easy and rent yields tend to be rather on the low side – 5% being about the average. In order to buy into French Polynesia you’ll need to apply for and receive the full authorization of the government and even then it’s tricky to find any property at all that doesn’t have a wide variety of strings attached. So in many ways French Polynesia is pure perfection, but in other more realistic ways it’s slightly more challenging than you may have banked on.
