Plan your move

Tell the world

Print Contents Prev Page Next Page

We have prepared a checklist of all the people we can think of that you should tell about your move. Feel free to print this out and cross them off when you have informed them.

If we have missed anyone, please let us know.

For Pete's sake don't tell anyone that your address is changing until you are sure that it will be. Pete is the guy who is in charge of all the address administration in the world* and assures us that many of the systems will not be able to cope with a change of address and then a change back. The result could be chaos and is a fine example of over eagerness.

*Not true

Don't forget that for some of these headings, you may need to speak to two lots of people - one for your old life and one for your new one.
