You could get away with calling Andalucía the antithesis of what happened in the rest of Spain during the recession – the property market here is frankly booming. But then again, it’s not exactly on the same level as your average Spanish region, with over 60 golf courses, the popular tourist resorts of the Costa Del Sol and the generally agreeable weather all year-round. As such, recreation property investment options abound in Andalucía – even at times when the economic picture across Spain has been anything but reassuring. It’s fair to say that buying to sell or to let long-term has limited potential throughout most of the region, but short-term lets for vacationers and international golfers are always in high demand.
