Larnaca brings together everything that represents the Cypriot way of life from an outside visitor’s perspective – rich history, swaying palm trees, cool blue seas and more amenities than anyone could ever need. The region is stunning and year-round demand for vacation rentals is high, but at the same time there’s no escaping the somewhat turbulent times the country’s property market as a whole has been facing. Of all Cyprus’ major hubs and cities, Larnaca has fared the worst as of late with property prices plummeting an average of 15 per cent during 2013. Rental yields are also relatively modest, which leaves investors looking at a location that has all the potential in the world, even it it appears to be currently unrealised.
