Mallorca. Ibiza. Menorca. Formentera. The names alone conjure up images of dream places in the sun. The popularity of Spain’s Balearic Islands is such that the region has to some extent become something of a cliché among international travellers. Rather than a negative thing however, it’s simply a testament to how islands like Majorca and Ibiza have become nothing less than the ‘obvious’ places for millions to take their annual, twice-annual or even more frequent holidays every year. The Balearics stand out for being incredibly accessible for international investors, generally affordable and yet in staggering demand for most months of the year. The climate is incredible, the contrasts between the villages and resorts astounding and the general quality of living doesn’t get much higher. Competing with thousands of other investors can be a challenge, but get it right and the sunny Spanish Balearic Islands can deliver a whole lot in return.
